History
Channel 13, TV Velasquina, was founded by Father Carlos Stetter on 05 July 1985. With the help of a Latero succeeded to make a satellite dish with corrugated sheets and started broadcasting the Channel with rudimentary technology. As the channel grew, it struck a deal with a channel of Santa Cruz, which used to send VHS cassettes to transmit any material which can be edited by adding their own local advertisement or program, especially, local events and news.
At that time, each owner of a TV paid a monthly fee to support the operation of the Channel. In 1985 there were already about 300 televisions in San Ignacio de Velasco. For many years, Channel 13 was the only television network in the San Ignacio de Velasco.
Currently, Channel 13 ever maintains the innovation of its technology. It has a contract of a repeater with Unitel and also generates its own programming.
